Volkswagen has recently launched its new compact electric vehicle, the ID.3 Neo, in Europe. The model features upgrades across its exterior design, interior layout, drivetrain, and software systems. Exterior styling adopts Volkswagen’s “Pure Positive” design language, highlighted by a continuous light strip and an illuminated logo. Inside, the cabin has been reconfigured with a horizontally oriented dashboard theme, featuring a new ergonomic control system and an updated “Innovision” infotainment setup that includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch central touchscreen display. The drivetrain is newly developed, delivering higher torque and lower energy consumption. It offers three battery capacity options, with the largest providing up to 630 kilometers of range under WLTP standards. The ID.3 Neo can be optionally equipped with “Connected Travel Assist,” which enhances traffic sign recognition and optimizes regenerative braking efficiency in one-pedal driving mode. Additionally, the vehicle supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, capable of supplying up to 3.6 kW of external power. Pre-orders for the ID.3 Neo are now open, with three trim levels—Trend, Life, and Style—available alongside various combinations of motor outputs and battery capacities.
