On April 21, a Xiaomi SU7 Pro—two years old with over 300,000 kilometers on the odometer—was involved in an accident while driving on a rain-slicked highway. The vehicle lost traction and spun out due to excessive speed, colliding with the guardrail. This caused severe damage to the rear and right side of the car, detachment of the right rear wheel, and noticeable crumpling of the rear structure. Despite the impact, the passenger cabin remained intact, with no intrusion or deformation observed in critical areas, and the owner sustained no injuries. The vehicle features a hybrid steel-aluminum body and a high-strength cage-like structure. Technicians have now completed a comprehensive inspection, and a detailed repair plan along with cost estimates will be released soon. Repairs are expected to involve components such as the rear bulkhead, longitudinal beams, bumper, radar, and cameras, with the final cost pending insurance assessment.
