On April 19, FAW Hongqi announced a partnership with Huawei via an official Weibo post, unveiling a collaborative poster that revealed the two companies will jointly launch vehicles equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Driving System. The poster featured the equation “H + H = ?”, with each “H” representing Hongqi and Huawei respectively, accompanied by the hashtag “Hongqi x Huawei Qiankun: A Powerhouse Collaboration.” According to prior reports, Hongqi plans to integrate Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Driving System into its flagship Series 9 models—including the EHS9 and HQ9—starting in 2025. This move will complement Hongqi’s existing TianGong platform, which uses the Zhuoyu Intelligent Driving System, creating a tiered product lineup combining high-end and mainstream offerings. Huawei is scheduled to officially launch the Qiankun Intelligent Driving System at a Beijing event on April 23, 2025, where further details of the Hongqi collaboration are expected to be unveiled. Additionally, Hongqi Series 9 vehicles were already spotted participating in test drives during the first Qiankun Intelligent Driving trial event held in late August 2025.
