Roewe unveiled the world’s first AI-native concept car series, the Roewe Yue 07, developed by SAIC Motor's global design team led by Joseph Kaban. Embodying the “Uplifting Aesthetics” design philosophy, the vehicle measures nearly 5 meters in length and 1.2 meters in height, with the extended lines of the A- and D-pillars converging above the rear seats to create a poised and robust stance. The Yue 07 series was co-developed with Volcano Engine. On April 19, Geely Auto’s China Star “Cultural Tourism China Exploration Program – Season 5” kicked off in Wuerhe District, Karamay City, Xinjiang. During the event, Geely officially launched pre-sales for two new i-HEV Smart Hybrid models: the Xingyue L i-HEV and Xingrui i-HEV. The Xingrui i-HEV is priced between RMB 107,700 and RMB 119,700, while the Xingyue L i-HEV ranges from RMB 148,700 to RMB 162,700. Both models are equipped with Geely’s i-HEV Smart Hybrid system, designed for diverse driving scenarios including urban commuting, long-distance travel, and extreme off-road adventures. Themed “Journey Across Ten Thousand Miles, Exploring the World,” the event began in Hangzhou and concluded in Wuerhe, where the vehicles underwent rigorous real-world testing across challenging terrains such as the Devil City and Populus Euphratica forests. Wuerhe boasts rich natural and cultural resources—including the World Devil City, Baiyang River Grand Canyon, pristine Populus Euphratica forests, film studios, and RV camping parks—featuring Yardang landforms, canyons, industrial heritage sites, and ethnic cultural elements. It has evolved into an integrated tourism destination offering sightseeing, cultural experiences, leisure vacations, and self-driving tours. Through public-private collaboration, the event merged local natural and cultural assets with automotive technology to foster synergistic development across the tech, automotive, and cultural tourism sectors. The Xingrui i-HEV is positioned as a hybrid sedan, powered by a dedicated 1.5L hybrid engine paired with a DHT transmission. It measures 4,825 mm in length with a 2,800 mm wheelbase, and is offered in Erik Blue exterior paint with Tianshan Runbai (Tianshan Moist White) interior trim. Interior highlights include a Yuquan Yuzun crystal gear shifter, Lu Yue Xingchen 3D laser-engraved detailing, and 256-color ambient lighting. Standard features across all trims include a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, 540-degree transparent chassis view, FlymeAuto intelligent cockpit, and the Qianli Haohan H3 advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS). The Xingyue L i-HEV is a hybrid SUV equipped with a dedicated 1.5TD hybrid engine and DHT transmission. It spans 4,795 mm in length with a 2,845 mm wheelbase, available in Moon Silver exterior and Yadan Orange interior, complemented by 20-inch low-drag alloy wheels. Its interior details mirror those of the Xingrui i-HEV. All variants come standard with the FlymeAuto system, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, and Qianli Haohan H3 ADAS. Both models feature Geely’s Xingrui AI Cloud Power 2.0 system and Qianli Haohan H3 ADAS, capable of sensing ambient temperature, humidity, altitude, and gradient to optimize energy distribution, achieving over 10% improvement in overall energy efficiency. The AI digital chassis integrates CCD suspension, heartbeat-matching technology, and CST Comfort Braking System. The engine delivers a thermal efficiency of 48.41%, enabled by 500-bar ultra-high-pressure fuel injection, 150 mJ ignition coils, and 11 friction-reduction technologies. Electric drive dominates 80% of driving time, with 0–30 km/h acceleration achieved in just 1.84 seconds, power response delay reduced to 10 milliseconds, start-up vibration lowered by 32.7%, and cabin noise only 1 dB higher than that of pure electric vehicles. For safety, oil, electrical, and coolant circuits are routed through independent channels, and the vehicles are equipped with the Shield Battery Safety System featuring IP68 dust- and water-resistance, shallow charge/discharge control strategy, and a submarine-grade cage-type body structure. In terms of durability, both models have completed 15,000 hours of bench testing (equivalent to approximately 4.8 million kilometers) and earned China Automotive Technology & Research Center’s “Ironman Seven” powertrain endurance certification, ensuring reliable performance in extreme conditions such as severe cold, high heat, and high altitude. In 2025, Geely’s China Star series achieved sales of 1.214 million units, up 3.4% year-over-year, maintaining its position as China’s top-selling domestic-brand ICE passenger vehicle series for the ninth consecutive year. Specifically, the Xingyue L ranked No. 1 among all fuel-powered SUVs (across all brands and segments) in China in 2025, while the Xingrui claimed the title of best-selling A-segment domestic-brand fuel sedan in Q1 2026. Other models—including the Boyue REV, HaoYue L, Boyue L, Binyue L, and the 5th-generation Emgrand—also lead their respective segments. Geely continues to advance its multi-energy strategy, introducing next-generation hybrid technologies such as the Leishen AI Electric Hybrid 2.0 and Xingrui AI Cloud Power 2.0, and has obtained ISO 56001 Innovation Management System certification. Leveraging the i-HEV Smart Hybrid technology, the China Star series aims to further solidify its leadership in China’s domestic-brand ICE vehicle market.
