Smart Unveils Largest-Ever Model: Pre-Sales Begin for Smart #6 Plug-in Hybrid Hatchback, Starting at RMB 189,900

At the 2026 Beijing International Auto Show, the all-new smart #6 hatchback plug-in hybrid sedan opened for pre-orders, starting at RMB 189,900. A refundable deposit of RMB 999 can be applied toward a RMB 3,000 discount on the final purchase price. This model marks smart’s first luxury hatchback specifically developed for the Chinese market and is also the largest vehicle in the brand’s history. Powering the vehicle is a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system, delivering a maximum all-electric CLTC range of 285 km and a combined range of 1,810 km. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. The interior offers three color schemes: Cadmium Yellow, Shadow Black, and Prairie Brown. Features include a dual-screen cockpit layout, UFO-shaped floating retractable speakers, a Sennheiser Reference sound system with a 7.1.4-channel configuration, and Zero-Pressure integrated sport seats. The cabin also integrates PixelTalk interactive lighting arrays comprising 10,666 millimeter-scale LED micro-dots and includes SPA-grade pressure-relief massage functionality. The brand claims an industry-leading cabin space utilization rate of 86%. All variants come standard with LiDAR, and the body structure comprises 85% high-strength steel and aluminum, including 16% hot-stamped steel.
