All-New GAC Trumpchi E8 PHEV Opens for Pre-Orders, Priced in the RMB 200,000 Range

At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, GAC Motor officially unveiled the all-new Trumpchi E8 PHEV and opened pre-orders. The automaker stated that the vehicle’s value has increased by over RMB 50,000 while maintaining its price in the RMB 200,000 range. Measuring 5,000 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,778 mm tall with a 3,000 mm wheelbase, the E8 PHEV is available in four exterior colors: Supernova Silver, Blade Shadow White, Moonlight Gray, and Obsidian Black. Interior color options include Sunlit White, Warm Brown, and Twilight Black. The exterior features a full-width light bar and a trapezoidal grille with chrome accents. A roof-mounted LiDAR is available as an option, and the vehicle retains conventional mechanical door handles. All variants come standard with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch floating central touchscreen. Second-row seats offer ventilation, heating, and massage functions, along with foldable tray tables, a refrigerator, and a 17.3-inch rear-seat entertainment screen. Powering the E8 PHEV is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine (model code 4A15J4) producing a maximum output of 125 kW, paired with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack.
