Xiaomi Auto Addresses Beijing Auto Show T-Shirt Availability, Reveals YU7 GT and Zhejiang Circuit Lap Time

In its 238th "Answers to Netizens" post released on April 25, Xiaomi Auto stated that the cultural T-shirts gifted by Lei Jun to fellow automakers during the Beijing Auto Show are exclusive presents with no current plans for public sale. During the auto show (April 24–May 3), visitors can make reservations via the Xiaomi Auto app to receive one free 1:64 scale alloy car model on-site and a limited-edition "Capri Blue" bottled water. The Xiaomi YU7 GT is positioned as the top-tier variant within the YU7 family and defined as a pure-blooded Gran Turismo (GT), emphasizing both long-distance touring capability and driving pleasure. Featuring a long hood and wide-body design, the YU7 GT delivers 1,000 horsepower, a top speed of 300 km/h, and a CLTC range of 705 km. The vehicle will make its official debut at the end of May, with deep involvement from Xiaomi Auto’s European R&D Center and multiple rounds of tuning already completed at Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit. Xiaomi Auto established its European R&D Center in Munich, Germany, in March 2023, aiming to integrate Germany’s strengths in driving dynamics with China’s leadership in electrification (battery, motor, and electronic control systems) and intelligent technologies to build globally differentiated competitiveness. The center has already assembled a team of internationally renowned engineers and designers. Additionally, the new production version of the Xiaomi SU7 Max recently set a new lap record at the Zhejiang International Circuit with a time of 1:37.974, becoming the fastest four-door production car under RMB 500,000 and ranking fifth among all four-door production cars on the circuit’s leaderboard. This record run utilized Sailun PT01 high-performance tires, ITT high-performance brake pads, and ENDLESS RF650 high-boiling-point brake fluid—all now available for purchase on Xiaomi Youpin, strictly for track or closed-road use only. A high-performance brake kit upgrade service priced at RMB 4,133 is available for SU7 models equipped with Brembo braking systems.
