During the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, GAC officially unveiled its Xingyuan plug-in hybrid technology, debuting on two models: the Trumpchi Yue 7 and the all-new Trumpchi Xiangwang E8 PHEV. The Trumpchi Yue 7 is equipped with the Xingyuan Plug-in Hybrid GMC 3.0 Thunder Edition system, featuring a 1.5T hybrid engine delivering a maximum output of 125 kW and peak torque of 245 N·m. It pairs with a drive motor offering peak power of 205 kW and a highly integrated multi-in-one P4 rear electric drive unit. The combined four-wheel-drive system achieves a total maximum output of 400 kW and wheel-end torque of up to 10,000 N·m. The vehicle supports a "single-wheel recovery" function, enabling it to keep moving even when three wheels are off the ground. During low-speed crawling, peak torque can be amplified fivefold, making it well-suited for off-roading, hill climbing, and challenging terrain. The Trumpchi Xiangwang E8 PHEV features the Xingyuan Plug-in Hybrid GMC 3.0 Gale Edition, incorporating China’s first lightweight DHT transmission weighing under 100 kg (98.5 kg total). This transmission boasts an electronic control efficiency of 99.2% and a peak mechanical transmission efficiency of 98.7%. Its 1.5T hybrid engine employs a "volcano-type" combustion system, piston internal cooling oil passages, and diamond-like carbon coating technology, improving thermal efficiency by 3%. The vehicle also integrates GAC’s self-developed AI energy management platform, which intelligently identifies road conditions and switches between electric and hybrid modes, enhancing fuel savings by 15%. It achieves a WLTC-rated fuel consumption of 3.98 L/100 km under depleted battery conditions, with an all-electric range of 281 km and a combined driving range of 1,537 km.
