On April 27, the third day of the Beijing International Auto Show, XPeng HT’s “Land Aircraft Carrier” received over 90 orders in a single day. The product features a modular design comprising a ground vehicle and a flying unit. The ground vehicle adopts a three-axle, six-wheel configuration and is built on an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage extended-range platform with a driving range exceeding 1,000 kilometers, capable of recharging the flying unit five to six times. The flying unit, designated X3-F, supports vertical takeoff and landing and is equipped with a single-stick control system enabling integrated six-degree-of-freedom maneuvering. XPeng HT operates in the low-altitude economy sector. Its globally first mass-production facility for aircraft, utilizing a modern automotive-style assembly line, was completed and began trial production in September 2025. This facility introduces automotive industry mass-production methodologies into aviation manufacturing, supporting scalable deliveries of the “Land Aircraft Carrier” and future products. On March 5, 2025, the “Land Aircraft Carrier” flying units rolled off the production line in batch trial production at this facility, with multi-unit test flights launched simultaneously. On the same day, XPeng HT partnered with Guangzhou Urban Construction Investment Group and the China Electronics Technology Group Corporation’s Fifth Research Institute (CETC-5) to jointly launch low-altitude flight scenario explorations at the Haixinsha Omnispace Intelligent Experience Center (Haixinsha Tech Island) in Guangzhou under a “1+1+N” collaboration model, accelerating the transition of flying cars from production lines to real-world flight applications.
