The Audi Q4 e-tron receives a mid-cycle refresh five years after its market launch. Exterior changes are subtle, while interior updates are more significant: physical HVAC buttons have been removed from the center console, with related functions now integrated into a 12.8-inch central touchscreen. This display shares the same visual area as the 11.9-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Buyers can optionally add a 12-inch passenger-side entertainment screen—the largest passenger display currently offered by Audi and a segment-first. The refreshed Q4 e-tron becomes Audi’s first all-electric model to support bidirectional charging, featuring V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capability. A household power outlet is installed in the trunk, delivering up to 2.3 kW of external power output. Customers can also opt for a side charging-port adapter that provides 2.3 kW when plugged into a standard household socket and up to 3.6 kW when connected to a dedicated camping power outlet. Select markets will offer V2H (Vehicle-to-Home) functionality, enabling the vehicle to serve as a backup power source for homes during outages. Models equipped with the 82 kWh battery pack see their peak DC fast-charging rate increase from 175 kW to 185 kW, adding approximately 180 km of WLTP range in just 10 minutes. Charging from 10% to 80% takes 27 minutes. The updated model features a more efficient rear-mounted electric motor and an upgraded transmission to reduce friction losses. Combined with software and electronic system optimizations, these enhancements boost range across all variants by up to 32 km. The more aerodynamic Sportback version achieves a maximum WLTP range of 592 km, while the base variant starts at 451 km. Order books for the refreshed Q4 e-tron will open in Europe next month, with deliveries commencing later this summer.
