McLaren plans to unveil two new models on May 4: the MCL-HY and the MCL-HY GTR. The MCL-HY will represent McLaren in the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans as part of the Hypercar class in the FIA World Endurance Championship, while the MCL-HY GTR is a track-only variant that will be offered to customers in limited numbers. Both vehicles were co-developed by McLaren Racing and McLaren Automotive. Teaser images reveal that the new cars feature a full-width light bar across the front fascia, with an overall design that appears more rounded compared to earlier concept versions. The MCL-HY race car will be powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 engine supplied by Autotecnica Motori and built on a Dallara chassis. Powertrain details for the MCL-HY GTR remain undisclosed and will be revealed alongside the MCL-HY on May 4. Additionally, McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt previously stated that the company will gradually unveil its broader product roadmap starting this summer, including a next-generation internal combustion sports car and its first-ever SUV.
