The Le Dao L80 officially opened for pre-orders at its product technology launch event and announced its market debut on May 15. The model offers two purchasing options—battery-as-a-service (BaaS) and full vehicle purchase—with starting pre-order prices of RMB 159,800 and RMB 245,800, respectively. Positioned as a smart dual-cabin flagship large five-seater SUV, the L80 measures 5,145 mm in length with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm. It features the brand’s signature front fascia design, equipped with Starlight Smart Pixel Matrix Headlights, a roof-mounted “Watchtower” LiDAR system, and an intelligent driving indicator light (“Smart Driving Blue Light”). Le Dao L80 introduces its “1+1=N” spatial value formula: the first “1” refers to a 240L smart electric front trunk, the second “1” denotes a 1,200L versatile lifestyle exploration rear cabin, and “N” represents the diverse usage scenarios enabled by this combination. The vehicle also debuts a range of factory-original, all-scenario accessory kits, including a three-bike carrier system for three passengers and an integrated front-trunk kitchen island, catering to needs such as light camping, pet-friendly travel, and long-distance road trips. In terms of safety, the L80 adheres to the China Automotive Technology & Research Center’s (CATARC) 5-star safety standards, establishing a three-tier “Mobile Safety Haven” protection system: - The intelligent safety layer integrates the Shengji Safety Vision System; - The body safety layer employs a hybrid steel-aluminum ultra-rigid safety cage; - The passive safety layer comes standard across all trims with nine airbags. On the intelligent technology front, the L80 is powered by NIO’s self-developed 5nm automotive-grade Shengji NX9031 autonomous driving chip. Combined with NIO’s World Model (NWM) and the SkyOS TianShu full-domain vehicle operating system, it supports NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) functionality across all driving scenarios and domains.
