Yijing Auto Clarifies Misreported Product Roadmap: Five Silhouettes Not All Midsize or Larger SUVs

During the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, YiJing unveiled its X9 large six-seater SUV to a global audience. Zeng Qinglin, General Manager of the YiJing automotive brand, stated that the company plans to launch nearly five new models over the next two to three years, progressing at a pace of roughly two to three models per year. Regarding public speculation about the "five models to be launched within three years" shown in a recent presentation—where all five silhouettes depicted were mid-size or larger SUVs—Zeng clarified that this was due to simplification by the design team and emphasized that the actual product lineup will include a broader range of vehicle types, not exclusively mid-size or larger SUVs. Additionally, YiJing Automotive plans to invest approximately RMB 10 billion over the next two years, supported by an engineering team of 4,000 to 5,000 personnel jointly established by Dongfeng and Huawei, with the goal of achieving RMB 100 billion in revenue within about three years.
