Mercedes-AMG has recently been testing a new CLE coupe at the Nürburgring. The test car features a redesigned front bumper with large air intakes and front splitter flaps to optimize cooling and aerodynamic performance. The side profile showcases flared wheel arches, a lowered ride height, a stiffer suspension setup, and wider tires. At the rear, it sports a fixed spoiler and AMG’s signature quad rectangular exhaust tips. The vehicle is expected to be powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, producing approximately 646 horsepower—203 hp more than the CLE53. According to media reports, this new model will become the second ultra-limited vehicle in Mercedes’ Mythos series, with a global production run potentially limited to just 30 units, making it even rarer than the previously launched PureSpeed (based on the SL63 and limited to 250 units). Additionally, the brand may introduce an unlimited-production CLE63 variant in the future. Meanwhile, AMG is also developing an even more extreme two-door model—the GT Black Series—approaching road-legal race car specifications.
