Geely Automobile Holdings Limited released its April 2024 sales figures on May 1, reporting passenger vehicle sales of 235,164 units for the month, marking year-over-year and month-over-month growth. Sales of new energy vehicles (including Geely, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr brands) reached 135,591 units, up 8% year-over-year and 6.5% month-over-month, with the new energy vehicle penetration rate exceeding 50% for the third consecutive month. By brand, Geely brand sold 180,622 vehicles in April, Lynk & Co recorded sales of 22,755 units, and Zeekr delivered 31,787 units. Overseas exports totaled 83,186 units, surging 245% year-over-year and also increasing month-over-month, marking the fourth consecutive month of more than doubling export sales year-over-year. Additionally, the China Star series achieved sales of 89,621 units in April, while Galaxy brand sales reached 91,001 units, up 10% month-over-month. On the financial front, Geely Automobile reported total revenue of RMB 83.776 billion for the first quarter of 2024, an increase of 15% year-over-year. Net profit attributable to equity holders was RMB 4.166 billion, down 27% year-over-year, while core net profit attributable to equity holders stood at RMB 4.561 billion, up 31% year-over-year.
