On May 2, Xiaomi Auto clarified the naming of its new model, the YU7 GT, explaining that it differs from the YU7 Ultra due to distinct positioning. The Ultra series represents Xiaomi Auto's top-tier flagship lineup, emphasizing ultimate performance, while the GT series focuses on high-performance luxury vehicles suited for long-distance travel. The YU7 GT is defined as a sports-car-grade SUV, designed to balance high performance, luxurious comfort, and extended range. Jointly tuned by Chinese and European experts, the YU7 GT has already completed testing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, demonstrating a solid chassis, stable cornering performance, and a strong emphasis on long-haul driving comfort. The vehicle is scheduled for an official launch at the end of May.
