In April 2026, BYD sold 321,123 vehicles, including 314,100 passenger cars. Its overseas sales reached 134,542 units, up 70.9% year-over-year, marking a new monthly record. Chery Group reported sales of 251,386 vehicles that month, an increase of 25.2% year-over-year; exports surged 102.4% year-over-year to 177,573 units, setting a new record for China’s single-month auto exports; and its NEV (new energy vehicle) sales totaled 100,276 units, up 63.8% year-over-year.
