On May 6, Jin Yuzhi, Senior Vice President of Huawei and CEO of Yinwang, shared his real-world experience using Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system. Starting from Guangzhou Airport, he activated the navigation-assisted driving function for the entire 102-kilometer journey—comprising 84 kilometers of highway and 18 kilometers of urban roads—and arrived home smoothly. He noted that the system significantly reduced driving fatigue, leaving him energetic enough to go for a run upon arrival. Huawei officially launched the Qiankun ADS 5 on the evening of April 23, featuring comprehensive upgrades in technology, safety, and user experience. At the algorithm level, its WEWA architecture has been upgraded to version 2.0, incorporating cloud-based Multi-Agent game-theory technology and online reinforcement learning mechanisms to enhance decision-making sophistication and learning efficiency. At the system level, Huawei unveiled the industry’s first operating system specifically designed for autonomous driving—the Qiankun OS—achieving a 30% reduction in latency, a 20-fold improvement in reliability, and support for four-layer safety protection.
