Bentley’s first all-electric SUV is undergoing intensive testing at the Nürburgring, with an official launch planned before the end of this year. Positioned below the current Bentayga, the new model measures nearly five meters in length and features a more compact silhouette compared to the Bentayga. Test prototypes remain heavily camouflaged. Built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture—developed specifically for battery-electric vehicles—the SUV will not be offered in any internal combustion or retrofitted electric variants. Its technical platform is expected to share core elements with the upcoming all-electric Porsche Cayenne, while further enhancing comfort and luxury. The vehicle is anticipated to support ultra-fast charging, capable of adding approximately 325 kilometers of WLTP range in just 10 minutes under ideal conditions, and charging from 10% to 80% in under 16 minutes. The powertrain is expected to feature standard dual-motor all-wheel drive, with a high-performance variant potentially matching the 1,140-horsepower output of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Bentley states that its electric models aim to attract new customer segments while continuing to serve existing clients through its internal combustion and plug-in hybrid offerings. Combustion-engine models will remain on sale into the 2030s, and the next-generation Bentayga—equipped with a plug-in hybrid system—is set to debut in the coming years.
