During the May Day holiday period from May 1 to May 5, 2026, AITO vehicle users collectively traveled a total distance of 430 million kilometers. Of this, 290 million kilometers were driven on electric power, accounting for 67.7% of the total mileage, resulting in a carbon emission reduction of 72,000 tons—equivalent to planting 6.39 million trees. A total of 91,369 vehicles traveled over 1,000 kilometers during the holiday. The advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) operated for a cumulative distance of 170 million kilometers during this period, representing 46.9% of the total mileage—a 10-percentage-point increase compared to the same period in 2025. There were 667,000 active users utilizing ADAS, accounting for 72.9% of all active vehicle owners. Among them, 281,000 vehicles had more than 50% of their total mileage driven with ADAS engaged. The automated parking assist feature was activated 4.988 million times. On the safety front, vehicles actively avoided potential collisions 40,000 times. The enhanced Automatic Emergency Steering (eAES) system was triggered 103 times. Alerts for driver fatigue or distraction were issued 34.48 million times, while unintended acceleration warnings occurred 53,000 times and incorrect gear-shift alerts totaled 1.471 million times. Data shows that, under ADAS operation, vehicles traveled an average of 14.92 million kilometers per severe collision—2.3 times higher than in manual driving mode and approximately 8.29 times the estimated national average. In manual driving mode, the figure stood at 6.45 million kilometers, roughly 3.58 times the national average. Additionally, AITO’s built-in smart service features saved users a cumulative total of 10,183 hours in repair time, completed 2,016 roadside assistance missions—with the longest single rescue spanning 1,256 kilometers—and delivered 28,082 online services.
