The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series Hybrid officially launched in Australia on May 6, 2024, offered in two variants: the GR Sport and the Sahara ZX. It is powered by the same i-Force Max 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 hybrid powertrain found in the Toyota Tundra and Lexus LX 700h, delivering a combined output of 341 kW (approximately 464 metric horsepower) and peak torque of 790 N·m. This represents an increase of 114 kW in power and 90 N·m in torque over the current 3.3-liter V6 turbo-diesel model, making it the most powerful Land Cruiser in history. The hybrid system pairs a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with an electric motor, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and driving all four wheels via Toyota’s four-wheel-drive system. The GR Sport variant features an upgraded suspension and electronic locking differentials, emphasizing off-road capability, while the Sahara ZX adopts a unique front bumper and redesigned air intakes, highlighting its luxury positioning. Both models come standard with electric power steering and a 1,500-watt rear power outlet. The new model is available exclusively in a five-seat configuration, with no three-row, seven-seat option offered. Deliveries in Australia are scheduled to begin in mid-2026. Pricing starts at AUD 156,060 for the GR Sport and AUD 156,810 for the Sahara ZX.
