When asked in an interview whether he had anticipated that the MEGA’s interior design would impact sales, Na Jia, Head of Li Auto’s Design Team, responded that he does not shy away from the question and expressed his enthusiasm for trying new things. He noted that although some outsiders assume he is merely fulfilling CEO Li Xiang’s vision, the reality is that many of Li Xiang’s proposed design directions were entirely new to him as well. As a young designer, he hopes to explore these uncharted territories during his tenure. Regarding questions about whether the MEGA’s design was a failure, Na Jia stated that looking back at the second-generation design language—whether applied to the L-series or the MEGA—the designs have been successful because they closely align with the brand’s original “Future Icon” concept, marking the true realization of their design philosophy. Public information shows that the Li Auto MEGA was launched on March 1, 2024, and began deliveries on March 11. By December 2024, cumulative deliveries reached 10,000 units. On April 23, 2025, at the Shanghai Auto Show, Li Auto unveiled the MEGA Ultra Smart Refresh Edition and the MEGA Home Family Special Edition. Deliveries of the MEGA Home Family Special Edition commenced gradually starting May 23, 2025. By August 2025, total deliveries hit 20,000 units, with monthly deliveries surpassing 3,000 for the first time. By January 2026, cumulative deliveries reached 30,000 units, making the MEGA the best-selling premium MPV priced above RMB 500,000. Li Auto CEO Li Xiang has repeatedly stated that the company will continue iterating the MEGA and believes it will become “the best family MPV.”
