Xiaomi Auto to Launch Standalone Sub-brand "Xuntian"; First Range-Extended SUV Kunlun N3 Set for H2 2026 Debut

Xiaomi Auto plans to launch an independent sub-brand named “Xuntian,” with its first model being a range-extended SUV internally codenamed Kunlun N3. The previously rumored name “YU9” has been scrapped. The vehicle is expected to launch in the second half of 2026 and will no longer carry Xiaomi’s main brand logo. Trademark records show that Xiaomi Technology Co., Ltd. filed an application to register the “Xuntian” trademark on April 3, 2023, and submitted an application for the English trademark “SKYNOMAD” on November 15, 2024. Both trademarks cover the transportation vehicles category, aligning with automotive business activities. Positioned specifically for family use, long-distance travel, and outdoor mobility, the Xuntian brand differentiates itself from Xiaomi’s main brand, which focuses on high-performance battery-electric vehicles. Within the Xuntian lineup, the Kunlun N3 will serve as the flagship model. Additional range-extended SUVs—including the Kunlun 10, Kunlun 20, and Kunlun 30—are planned to round out the product portfolio. Moreover, the brand also intends to introduce a pop-top outdoor camper van codenamed “Mann Island,” positioned above the Kunlun series to target premium outdoor adventure scenarios. Currently, both the Xuntian brand and the Kunlun N3 remain under wraps, and Xiaomi has not officially confirmed these plans through public channels.
