Haval Menglong PLUS Launches: Midsize Hybrid SUV Offered in 5- and 7-Seater Versions

The Haval Menglong PLUS officially launched in Baoding, Hebei Province on May 15, offering both five-seat and seven-seat variants with a pre-sale price range of RMB 189,800 to RMB 219,800. Order volumes have already exceeded expectations. Measuring 4,912 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width, and 1,905 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm, the vehicle has been repositioned from a mid-size SUV to a mid-to-large-size SUV. The five-seat version offers up to 151 mm of rear legroom and a trunk capacity ranging from 669 L to 1,691 L. The seven-seat variant features a 2+3+2 seating layout and delivers a maximum trunk volume of 1,549 L, complemented by 45 storage compartments throughout the cabin. Soft-touch materials cover all high-contact areas. Powering the Menglong PLUS is Great Wall Motor’s self-developed Hi4 intelligent hybrid all-wheel-drive system, comprising a dedicated 1.5T hybrid engine and dual front/rear electric motors. The system delivers a combined output of 330 kW and 660 N·m of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of just 5.8 seconds. The battery pack offers a maximum capacity of 44.7 kWh, providing a CLTC-rated pure-electric range of up to 255 km and a WLTC combined range exceeding 1,000 km. With a full tank of fuel and a fully charged battery, the vehicle achieves a combined fuel consumption of approximately 1.5 L/100 km. Standard equipment includes an electronically controlled mechanical dog-clutch rear differential lock, a minimum ground clearance of 221 mm, and a maximum wading depth of 580 mm. For intelligent features, the vehicle is equipped with a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating central touchscreen, a full LCD instrument cluster, and a W-HUD head-up display. It runs CoffeeOS 3, integrated with the CoffeeGPT large AI model, supporting four-zone voice interaction, seamless smartphone-vehicle connectivity, and multi-scenario mode switching. The Coffee Pilot 3 advanced driver-assistance system includes a LiDAR sensor and offers highway navigation pilot assist, urban automatic emergency braking, and fully automated parking capabilities. Comfort amenities include heated, ventilated, and massaging seats for both front and rear passengers, along with an electrically adjustable leg rest for the front passenger seat. Additional features comprise a 5.4-liter smart climate-controlled refrigerator, a 12-speaker audio system, 50W wireless fast charging for the front passenger, a foldable tray table, and a built-in camping mosquito-repellent lamp.
