The BYD Denza N9 Flash Charge Edition will officially launch on May 18. Pre-sales began on April 7, with a pre-sale price range of RMB 450,000 to RMB 500,000. The vehicle comes standard with the second-generation Blade Battery, featuring a 75 kWh capacity and delivering a CLTC-rated all-electric range of 420 km. It supports "flash charging" technology capable of reaching an optimal charge in five minutes and a full charge in nine minutes. Even at -30°C, the charging time increases by only three minutes. Buyers will enjoy 18 months of complimentary flash charging privileges. In terms of design, the Flash Charge Edition retains the current model’s styling language, featuring a closed-off front fascia, split-matrix LED headlights, and an AGS active grille. It rides on exclusive 22-inch mirror-finish forged alloy wheels. The vehicle measures 5,258 mm in length, 2,030 mm in width, and 1,830 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. On the intelligent tech front, all variants come standard with the "Eyes of Zeus" 5.0 system, which features reinforcement learning capabilities, paired with a next-generation AI-powered smart cabin. The N9 Flash Charge Edition also includes the proprietary "Yi San Fang" (Easy Three-Vector) technology across the board, enabling functions such as extreme steering, intelligent crab-walk mode, and compass turn. Denza claims these features allow the vehicle to avoid rollovers and fishtailing during high-speed evasive maneuvers, maintain stability even after a high-speed tire blowout, resist strong crosswinds, and prevent skidding on wet or slippery surfaces. Powering the Denza N9 Flash Charge Edition is a dedicated plug-in hybrid 2.0T high-efficiency engine combined with a tri-motor setup (front and rear) producing a total output of 680 kW. This enables a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.9 seconds. The vehicle also supports distinctive features including rear-wheel steering, compass turn, and crab-walk mode.
