On May 10, the Harmony Intelligent Mobility (Hongmeng ZhiXing) MAEXTRO S800 Grand Design Haute Customization Edition appeared in the latest batch of vehicle type approval listings released by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Positioned as an ultra-luxury full-size sedan, the vehicle is expected to be priced between RMB 1.5 million and RMB 2 million and is scheduled for an official launch in late June. In terms of design, the car features numerous exclusive gold accents, including a prominent three-dimensional gold trim strip on the center of the hood, unique badging on the fenders and C-pillars, and golden “MAEXTRO” lettering integrated into the full-width rear light bar. The body sports a classic two-tone paint scheme complemented by chrome trim, delivering an overall appearance of understated elegance and grandeur. The vehicle measures 5,480 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,536 mm in height (1,542 mm for certain variants), with a wheelbase of 3,370 mm and a four-seat configuration. The powertrain will be offered in both range-extended and all-electric variants. The range-extended version is equipped with a 1.5T range extender producing a maximum output of 127 kW, paired with a triple-motor system, offering a WLTC-rated all-electric range of 276 km. The all-electric variant features Huawei’s dual-motor setup, with a front motor delivering a peak output of 160 kW and a rear motor rated at 230 kW.
