In the first half of 2024, multiple automakers launched vehicles equipped with semi-solid-state batteries in quick succession, including SAIC Motor's MG4 "Semi-Solid-State Peace-of-Mind Edition," NIO's 150 kWh semi-solid-state battery pack, and announcements from Chery, GAC Group, and others outlining plans to deploy semi-solid-state batteries in their vehicles within the year. Driven by downstream demand, battery manufacturers such as CALB and SVOLT have explicitly stated they will begin mass production of semi-solid-state batteries in the second half of the year.
