Avatr 9 Premium Flagship SUV Unveiled; Six-Seater Variant Coming by Year-End

On September 8, 2024, Avatr unveiled the exterior design of its premium flagship SUV, the Avatr 9 series, co-designed by Avatr and Huawei Qiankun. The front fascia features a pixelated closed-off grille and split headlights, with a roof-mounted LiDAR unit (expected to be Huawei Qiankun’s 896-line dual-optical-path imaging-grade LiDAR). The vehicle adopts semi-flush door handles. Its body has a boxy silhouette, complemented by Ferris wheel–style dense-spoke alloy wheels finished in a two-tone scheme—silver-gray on the upper half and predominantly white on the lower section—and comes equipped with a panoramic glass roof. Chen Zhuo, President of Avatr Technology, stated that more details will be gradually released in the near future. Previously, on August 14, 2024, Yong Jun, Vice President of Avatr Technology, revealed that Avatr would launch a large three-row SUV by the end of this year—the first model representing a full-scale collaboration between Avatr and Huawei—which will integrate Huawei technologies across vehicle control, lighting, voice interaction, and intelligent driving systems.
