Dongfeng Peugeot Announces 2027 Peugeot 408 to Launch on November 6

On November 3, 2026, Dongfeng Peugeot officially announced that the 2027 Peugeot 408 will be officially launched on November 6. The new model adds a "Southern France Yellow" exterior color. The body dimensions are 4750×1820×1488mm (length×width×height), with a wheelbase of 2730mm. The front fascia features a borderless starlight matrix grille with a blackened finish inside. The cabin is built around the i-Cockpit framework, equipped with a small-diameter multi-function racing-style steering wheel, and the center console is wrapped in soft-touch materials with chrome accents and black piano lacquer trim. Higher-trim models offer a 12-inch full digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch central touchscreen, running the Blue-i 3.0 system with support for wireless CarPlay and HiCar. Physical buttons are retained inside the cabin. In terms of powertrain, the 2027 Peugeot 408 is powered by a fourth-generation 360THP 1.5T four-cylinder turbocharged engine (360THP is Peugeot's designation for the high-output version of the 1.5T powertrain), producing a maximum power of 127kW (173 hp) and peak torque of 255N·m, with the torque plateau extending from 1750rpm to 4500rpm, paired with an Aisin 6-speed automatic manual transmission. The official WLTC combined fuel consumption is 6.1L/100km, and 92-octane gasoline can be used. The chassis is tuned by the CLDR team, with a suspension setup of MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear.
