Subaru Motor (China) Co., Ltd. has recently filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation, under recall number S2026M0135I. Starting from December 21, 2026, it will recall certain imported Forester, Legacy, Outback, XV, and BRZ series vehicles produced between August 23, 2011 and August 25, 2016, totaling 196,494 units. For vehicles within the scope of this recall, the guide device in the steering roll connector may, under certain conditions, cause the internal wiring of the roll connector to wear and break, resulting in the horn failing to sound properly. This recall is being conducted following the launch of a defect investigation by the State Administration for Market Regulation. Subaru Motor (China) Co., Ltd. will provide free inspection of the steering roll connector for vehicles within the scope of the recall. If a vehicle is equipped with pre-improvement components, the steering roll connector will be replaced free of charge with the improved version.
