On October 28, CCTV News' special report "Weaving a New Chapter with Six Networks" focused on the application of next-generation communication technology in NIO's smart factory. On November 7, NIO's Hefei factory was featured on CCTV's "Xinwen Lianbo," showcasing how industrial 5G covers production processes including stamping, welding, and final assembly, achieving the rollout of one complete vehicle per minute. At NIO's Hefei factory, industrial 5G provides the foundation for data connectivity, real-time transmission, and collaborative management among production equipment. NIO's Advanced Manufacturing Xinqiao Phase II factory has embedded over 90 kilometers of optical fiber to build a digital network covering the production floor. Through digital twin technology, the real production process can be mapped to digital space in real time, and 80% of manufacturing scenarios now feature AI-assisted decision-making. In quality management, NIO's self-developed Tianscan system can automatically complete over 1,000 vehicle function self-checks within 3 minutes, achieving more than 10 times the efficiency of manual inspection; the Tiansight system can complete inspection of a vehicle in 84 seconds, improving efficiency by 48% with a defect identification accuracy rate of 99.7%. In 2026, NIO's Advanced Manufacturing Xinqiao Phase II factory was recognized as a Global Lighthouse Factory by the World Economic Forum, and was previously awarded the 2026 National Excellence-Level Smart Factory designation.
