Porsche (China) Motors Sales Co., Ltd. has recently filed a recall plan with China's State Administration for Market Regulation. Starting January 23, 2026, the company will recall five imported Taycan vehicles manufactured between October 29, 2024, and January 31, 2025. The recall is due to improper installation of wiring harnesses beneath the front seats. During seat adjustments, the airbag wiring may become damaged, potentially causing the airbag warning light to illuminate, unintended deployment of the front side airbags, or failure of the airbags to function properly during a collision—increasing the risk of injury to occupants. Porsche will address this issue free of charge through its authorized dealers by inspecting and repairing the affected wiring harnesses to eliminate the safety hazard.
