According to the latest information disclosed by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Xiaomi’s new-generation SU7 has completed its upgrade and made its debut. The updated model now comes standard across all trims with a 2,200 MPa ultra-high-strength steel "integrated roll cage," 265mm-wide rear tires, and front four-piston fixed brake calipers—significantly enhancing safety, braking performance, and handling. Additionally, improvements to seating comfort and interior amenities have led to a slight increase in curb weight, though the maximum payload capacity remains unchanged at 450 kg, preserving its passenger and cargo capabilities. The new SU7 is available in three variants: Standard, Pro, and Max. The Standard and Pro versions share identical dimensions (4,997 mm in length with a 3,000 mm wheelbase) and have curb weights of 2,055 kg and 2,180 kg respectively, both achieving a top speed of 240 km/h. The Max variant weighs 2,280 kg, reaches a top speed of 265 km/h, features an active rear spoiler, and offers optional wheel sizes ranging from 19 to 21 inches. In terms of powertrain, the Standard and Pro models are equipped with CATL’s lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs and a single motor delivering a peak output of 235 kW. The Max version uses Gotion High-Tech’s ternary lithium battery and a dual-motor setup with peak outputs of 220 kW (front) and 288 kW (rear).
