Ms. Wu from Ningbo has encountered repeated malfunctions since purchasing a Zhidou electric vehicle in March last year: the sun visor fell off just two months after delivery, and although the after-sales service initially promised warranty coverage, they later refused to honor it. Starting in October last year, her car frequently failed to accelerate when pressing the accelerator pedal—a problem that persisted even after restarting the vehicle. Now, she is unable to reach Zhidou’s after-sales service at all, as the 400 customer service hotline remains unanswered for extended periods. The Yongcheng after-sales station in Ningbo, which also serves as an authorized agent for Geely, explicitly stated that Zhidou is not part of Geely’s system. Moreover, the station said it hasn’t received any reimbursement from Zhidou for warranty claims since July last year, leaving nearly RMB 10,000 in payments outstanding. According to a sales representative at a Zhidou 4S store, the company’s Lanzhou factory still had staff on-site as of April last year, but shortly afterward, the manufacturer’s logistics department directly declared, “We’re no longer operating.” This suggests the automaker may have gone out of business. Currently, multiple Zhidou 4S dealerships are engaged in legal disputes with the manufacturer. Public records show that Lanzhou Zhidou Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. has been listed as a discredited被执行人 (dishonest judgment defaulter).
