Tesla has recently established wholly owned subsidiaries in Estonia and Latvia—Tesla Estonia OÜ and Tesla Latvia SIA, respectively—both held under Tesla International B.V. The companies are registered under the category of “motor vehicle repair and maintenance,” suggesting that Tesla will initially prioritize setting up service centers rather than launching direct vehicle sales. This move follows Tesla’s earlier strategy in Lithuania: first establishing a legal entity, then gradually rolling out pop-up stores and permanent service facilities. Related operations are expected to launch by the first half of 2026, though specific locations and opening dates have not yet been announced. Meanwhile, Tesla is boosting its European sales by introducing more affordable standard-range versions of the Model 3 and Model Y, and is advancing the European certification process for its Full Self-Driving (FSD) driver-assistance system. The FSD trial program in Europe has been extended through the end of March 2026. Additionally, Tesla’s Robotaxi project, Cybercab, is currently in pre-production testing.
