Volvo Cars' battery subsidiary, NOVO Energy, recently announced it is suspending operations. In a statement, the company said it cannot proceed with its business as originally planned until it secures a new technology partner. As a result, NOVO Energy will initiate layoffs affecting all positions. The company has informed the relevant unions and filed a notice with Sweden’s labor market authority regarding the termination of 75 jobs. This move marks a temporary halt to its battery business.
