Ford Motor Company has partnered with the National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR) to launch the “Answer the Call” initiative, donating five specially modified Bronco off-road vehicles to search and rescue teams in urgent need. Two of the vehicles have already been allocated—one to the Kern County Fire & Rescue in California and another to the Teton County Search and Rescue in Wyoming—with the remaining three to be awarded to teams selected through a nationwide application process. Each vehicle is a Bronco Badlands model equipped with the standard Sasquatch Package and further outfitted with satellite communication systems, winches, enhanced lighting, and integrated drones for real-time aerial reconnaissance. The initiative was launched by Ford CEO Jim Farley after witnessing the effective use of Broncos by the Grand County Search and Rescue team in Utah. Eligible teams can apply by submitting their materials at NASAR.org through April 30.
