Tesla has recently revised its Supercharger idle fee policy: a fee of RMB 6.4 per minute will now be charged only when a vehicle remains parked at a stall after completing charging and no other stalls are available. Additionally, the complimentary grace period has been extended from 5 minutes to 20 minutes—meaning drivers who leave within 20 minutes after the charging session ends will not incur any idle fees. Tesla emphasized that this adjustment aims to enhance user satisfaction and improve the efficiency of its charging network, rather than to generate profit. The company urges owners to vacate charging stalls promptly after finishing their charge to make them available for others, and envisions future vehicles being able to autonomously drive away once charging is complete, further optimizing the charging experience.
