According to the latest data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), Chinese-brand passenger vehicle sales reached 20.936 million units in 2025, up 16.5% year-on-year, with their market share rising to 69.5%—an increase of 4.3 percentage points compared to the previous year. Driven by the "two new" policies, new energy vehicles (NEVs) priced under RMB 150,000 performed particularly well: sales in the sub-RMB 80,000, RMB 80,000–100,000, and RMB 100,000–150,000 price segments reached 1.533 million, 1.49 million, and 3.549 million units, respectively. Year-on-year growth rates for these segments were 5%, 78.4%, and a significant increase (specific figure undisclosed). These figures indicate that Chinese brands are gaining momentum across multiple market segments and steadily enhancing their overall competitiveness. Looking ahead, with continued improvements in product quality and market strategies, Chinese brands are well-positioned to sustain this growth trajectory and secure a stronger foothold in global competition.
