From January to November 2025, sales of passenger vehicles in China equipped with urban NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) functionality reached 3.129 million units, representing a penetration rate of 15.1%—an increase of 5.6 percentage points year-over-year. Among these, domestic brands accounted for 2.5373 million units, or a remarkable 81.1% share. Currently, the urban NOA market is driven by a dual-track approach combining in-house development by automakers and partnerships with third-party suppliers. Nineteen brands—including Tesla, NIO, and XPeng—have opted for self-developed solutions, while 29 others have partnered with third-party providers. Among third-party suppliers, Momenta and Huawei have emerged as dominant players, collectively capturing approximately 80% of the market. Specifically, Momenta’s solutions were installed in 414,400 vehicles (61.06% of the third-party segment), while Huawei’s HI (Huawei Inside) mode was deployed in 134,100 vehicles (19.76%). International premium brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi are also accelerating collaborations with Chinese intelligent driving suppliers. Companies like Baidu and DeepRoute.ai are actively expanding their presence in this sector as well.
