During a live stream on the evening of January 15, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun responded to user requests to lower the 1,000-kilometer driving requirement for accessing Xiaomi's HAD (Human-Augmented Driving) advanced driver-assistance system. He stated that the team had taken note of this feedback and, after evaluation, decided to reduce this threshold in the next OTA update. Currently, new users must complete 1,000 kilometers of driving before they can activate the HAD feature. Meanwhile, an enhanced version of Xiaomi HAD has begun rolling out gradually, featuring improved smoothness in longitudinal acceleration and deceleration, more decisive lane changes, and enhanced precision in scenarios such as handling cut-ins, overtaking maneuvers, and navigating complex intersections.
