Xiaomi Auto announced that it will lower the safety mileage requirement for its advanced driver-assistance features in the next OTA update. Previously, users had to complete 1,000 kilometers of safe driving before unlocking the City Navigation Pilot feature—a measure designed to ensure drivers gained sufficient experience in complex urban environments before using the function. However, due to widespread user feedback that the threshold was too high, Xiaomi has decided, after evaluation, to relax this restriction. The company emphasized that driver-assistance features are not equivalent to autonomous driving, and users must remain attentive to road conditions and be ready to take control of the vehicle at all times. This adjustment reflects Xiaomi's commitment to user experience and aims to improve accessibility and satisfaction with the feature.
