Once hailed as a "wealth management product," Xiaomi's electric vehicles are now suffering significant depreciation in the used car market. According to data from Gasgoo, the resale prices of models such as the Xiaomi SU7 and SU7 Ultra have notably declined, with the SU7 Ultra experiencing the steepest drop. Key reasons include the imminent launch of a new SU7 model, which has diminished the perceived technological value of older versions, and Xiaomi’s status as a newcomer lacking established brand premium. Compounding these issues are frequent reports over the past year of safety incidents, quality concerns, and disputes over delivery and after-sales service—all of which have accelerated the decline in resale value. Industry insiders note that market hype is rarely sustainable; long-term pricing stability ultimately depends on brand strength and product reputation. Currently, Xiaomi offers two models for sale: the SU7 and the YU7.
