As of January 12, 2026, WeRide’s global Robotaxi fleet has reached 1,023 vehicles, officially entering the "thousand-vehicle era." Its autonomous taxis are already operating commercially without safety drivers in Guangzhou, Beijing, and Abu Dhabi, with the Abu Dhabi fleet nearing break-even on a per-vehicle basis. The company plans to deploy tens of thousands of Robotaxis globally by 2030. Currently, WeRide’s product portfolio spans Robotaxis, Robobuses, and advanced driver-assistance systems, and has expanded into freight and sanitation applications. In September 2025, its mass-produced vehicle model GXR launched 24/7 pilot operations in Huangpu District, Guangzhou, enabling on-demand point-to-point rides within the zone. Earlier that year, in February 2025, the GXR received approval to offer paid "driverless" services in Beijing’s Economic-Technological Development Area, covering key locations including high-speed rail stations.
