On January 14, the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal held its second hearing in Amsterdam regarding the control dispute over Nexperia, lasting seven hours without reaching a ruling. Nexperia Netherlands and its major shareholder Wingtech Technology engaged in intense arguments over key issues, including whether shareholders should regain control of the Nexperia Group and whether the court needs to conduct further investigations. Formerly NXP’s Standard Products business, Nexperia is a globally renowned supplier of semiconductor standard components, serving leading companies such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Apple, Samsung, and Siemens, with operations spanning Asia, Europe, and the Americas. This prolonged battle for control has already lasted for an extended period, and its outcome will not only affect Nexperia’s own development but also reverberate throughout the entire electronics supply chain. The case remains unresolved.
