On January 6, an Avita 07 in Nanning collided consecutively with 15 vehicles due to speeding. Local traffic police have determined that the accident was caused by improper operation by the driver. On January 17, Avita issued a statement saying that, after retrieving vehicle data authorized by the user, it confirmed that the vehicle’s advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) was in a deactivated state (NCA_STANDBY) before and during the incident, and that the airbags deployed normally. The company emphasized that the involved vehicle owner has never given interviews to the media. However, since January 13, certain media outlets have continued to spread false claims—such as “loss of control of the ADAS”—involving malicious editing and misinformation. Major online platforms have now removed these inaccurate reports. Avita stated it will pursue legal action against those spreading rumors and reminded all drivers to comply with traffic regulations and drive safely.
