On January 19, Hu Zhengnan, Head of Xiaomi Automobile Technology, revealed that Xiaomi is enthusiastic about the Nürburgring Nordschleife and 24-hour endurance testing, aiming to identify potential issues under extreme conditions and drive upgrades in mass-production technologies. He emphasized that a high-performance vehicle must first and foremost be a "good car" characterized by high quality and high safety. As the ultimate benchmark for performance vehicles, the Nürburgring’s complex road conditions can fully expose potential risks—similar to how Porsche subjects every model to a rigorous 6,000-kilometer durability test on the Nürburgring. Meanwhile, the 24-hour endurance race places extremely high demands on the vehicle’s triple-electric systems (battery, motor, and electronic control), drivetrain, high-rate battery charging and discharging capabilities, and overall thermal management. During these tests, real-time data is used to dynamically adjust strategies, ensuring vehicle reliability is validated under strict safety protocols.
