Tesla recently filed two new trademark applications in the United States related to its next-generation Roadster, including an updated word mark and a vehicle silhouette design, with a filing date of February 3, 2026. The all-electric sports car was first unveiled in 2017, originally slated for launch in 2020 with a starting price of $200,000. It boasts impressive performance specs—top speed exceeding 402 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 161 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. However, the project has faced multiple delays and slow progress. The new trademark filings are now seen as a strong signal that the Roadster is nearing production. According to international media reports, after an eight-year wait, the vehicle "may be closer to production than ever before." Tesla also confirmed in its latest earnings report that it is advancing preparations for North American production of the next-generation Roadster and plans to hold a demonstration event on April 1, followed by production within the next 12 to 18 months.
