In response to recent user discussions regarding whether older models of the Lynk & Co 07/08 support a four-direction dashcam feature, Mu Jun, Deputy General Manager of Lynk & Co Sales Co., Ltd., provided clarification. He stated that the company has held multiple internal meetings to evaluate this functionality. The R&D team previously attempted to utilize the existing 360-degree cameras to enable four-direction recording; however, issues such as insufficient video clarity and system lag or crashes after prolonged operation were encountered—problems consistent with feedback from some owners who installed the feature themselves. Since the older models were not designed with the necessary technical specifications during their initial system development phase, a front-facing dashcam was included as standard equipment at delivery. Although some enthusiasts have successfully implemented this feature using factory-installed hardware, it has not passed the company’s internal quality assurance standards, and therefore cannot currently be rolled out via an OTA update. Lynk & Co. expressed admiration for users’ ingenuity but reiterated its priority on system stability and user experience.
