Li Auto will officially join the China Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (CCCEU) as a member on February 24, 2026, and become part of its Automotive Working Group—marking a substantive step in its entry into the European market. Previously, Li Auto established an overseas R&D entity in Munich, Germany, in 2024 and launched a German R&D center in 2025, focusing on key areas such as design, electric powertrains, and regulatory certification. The company has designated 2025 as its “Year One for Overseas Markets,” setting up an independent overseas business division and establishing direct sales and after-sales service centers in Central Asia and the Middle East. Recently, Li Auto has also been recruiting senior sales executives in countries like Spain and Poland, emphasizing local compliance and localized operations. Facing intensifying domestic competition and potential European demand for extended-range electric vehicle technology, Li Auto is systematically advancing its strategy of “embedding its entire operational system locally.” However, whether it can break through in this highly competitive landscape remains to be tested by the market.
